Dynamic DNS Client Software

A new Windows client has been written over the past week. It is quite a bit larger and more complex than the non-GUI clients, but I hope that it will work for everyone. This is the beta release. Please try it out and let me know how it works.

These clients are very rudimentary at this point. However, you're welcome to download them and try them. I have precompiled ones for Linux (libc6) and Windows. You can also grab the source code for the client (Win32 and UNIX use the same source file).

Downloads

After downloading, see below for usage instructions.

Usage Instructions

The usage of the program is simple (and basically the same under UNIX or Windows). Run the client application with the following options:
gaddnas-client USERNAME PASSWORD HOSTNAME IP
The options are as follow:

USERNAME
Enter your username (case sensitive) for this parameter. It is required.
PASSWORD
Enter your password (case sensitive) for this parameter. It is required.
HOSTNAME
This is the entire hostname, including domain (ie. anteek.dyn.geeksanon.ca), that you wish to update. It is required.
IP
If you don't want the server to automatically select the IP you are connecting from as the IP to set in the record, set an IP here. This is optional. If not set, it will use your source IP that the server can find.

That's about all there is to it. Again, these are still basic clients that don't do much. They might not even work for you.
